A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Hodsock Priory – Karla and Daniel

Hodsock Priory in the Summer is stunning! To be honest it’s stunning at any time of the year due to the well-kept gardens having something to share, from snowdrops in Winter to the golden leaves in Autumn. Hodsock always seems to get the weather too!

Karla was getting ready at home before a local church wedding. The house was beautiful and really looked fabulous in the photos. The shot for me was when her father arrived. I love capturing these fleeting moments. The day was already hotting up, it was like one of those hot August days you remember from the six weeks holidays, perfect for a wedding.

After the church ceremony, the guests headed off to Hodsock where drinks and canapes were served on the lawns. I took Karla and Daniel off for a few photos but I knew the best light would come later, after the wedding breakfast. To give the guests a bit of fun Karla and daniel had organised a laser clay pigeon shoot on the lower lawn. It was a real laugh to watch people giving it a try. I think Karla and her bridesmaids were naturals though, just look at the group photo below!

As I predicted, the light after dinner was sublime and we got some great photos with the sun setting before heading back inside for the first dance. What a day.
