One of my favourite venues! George, Linda and the rest of the staff always look after me…and the guests obviously 😉 My day started at The Crown in Bawtry where Alison was getting ready. It’s just a five-minute drive to St. Mary and St. Martin’s in Blyth from there.

I met Oliver and the boys in The Angel, just over the road from the church, grabbed some shots in there before following them over to the church with the guests.

Although we had some grey skies there was no rain. Making for some dramatic skies, clearing later to give us some blue for the couples photographs.

The drinks reception was held in the garden, in front of the priory (it’s a lovely setting if the weather is being kind!), before the guests were called through to the pavilion for the wedding breakfast. I waited until after the meal before taking Alison and Oliver for a little walk around the grounds. I always try to do this in mid Summer, the light is so much nicer later in the day. We were treated to some gorgeous light!

After our little walk, there was just time to mingle with the guests for some relaxed, natural photographs before the first dance…the perfect end to a beautiful day 🙂
