Hodsock Priory is a historic country house wedding venue. Hodsock has been restored from a family home to a luxury, award-winning, country house wedding and event venue. Breathtaking views, a stunning Tudor Gatehouse, acres of gardens, woodland and rolling fields make Hodsock unique in the North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire area. Only holding one event at a time gives you exclusive use of this amazing venue, including 17 guest bedrooms so you don’t have far to go when the party ends. Henry VIII visited Hodsock Priory in 1541 and when you retire to the sumptuous bridal suite with its beautiful four poster bed and luxurious en-suite complete with roll top bath I’m sure you will feel equally as special.
I have photographed weddings at Hodsock since George Buchanan first had the vision to make a historic family home into a wedding venue. Since then I have enjoyed working with the wedding team to many couples day magical. Because of the flexibility of the space, Hodsock Priory is perfectly suited to many types of weddings. So if you are planning an intimate gathering or having a grand affair you will be equally well looked after. Over the years I have photographed big church wedding ceremonies with 100+ guests to intimate 10 guest civil ceremonies, each one equally as special.
