I have done a few small weddings in my time but this one was officially the smallest, 11 guests! I love them though, totally different from a bigger wedding, you really are a big part of proceedings!
I met Amanda and Tim at one of their friend’s weddings a couple of years ago and I’m happy they remembered me for their wedding!
The ceremony was in the late afternoon so there would have been no chance afterwards to get any shots in The Maynard’s gardens. With beautiful views over the Derbyshire countryside, it would have been a shame to miss the opportunity. We agreed to meet a little earlier and have a few couple shots before the ceremony. I’m glad we did, it was a grey, cold December day but the light and mood were perfect.
After the ceremony, everyone mingled in The Maynard’s lovely, contemporary lounge where they were served drinks and canapés. I did the group shots in here as well, it was too cold and dark outside by this time! I also used the contemporary surroundings for a few more shots of Mandy and Tim.
These are a selection of my favourites from the day.
