Amanda and Ben’s three day epic wedding on the banks of Coniston Water in the Lake District.
What an event! Amanda and Ben welcomed guests to Bank Ground Farm for informal drinks and a hog roast. As it was the day before the wedding, I think most people took it easy, ready for the big day!
Most of the key protagonists were staying at the farm and got ready there in the morning. Ben and his entourage, which included ushers, best man and a guard of honour (Ben is a pilot in the RAF) made their way to Belmount Hall with the rest of the guests. Amanda and her Bridesmaids followed on in a beautiful vintage VW camper van to arrive in some style. Amanda and Ben chose Belmount Hall because of its proximity to Bank House Farm. A grade II listed Georgian house with a beautiful rustic interior, it’s a beautiful venue in its own right. The ceremony really was special, with tears all around and an amazing guard of honour on the exit, and no rain!
After the ceremony, while the guests made their way back to the farm we took the camper to a viewpoint above the lake. The view, as you can see, was breathtaking, we created some beautiful relaxed portraits before heading back to the farm ourselves. The couple were greeted with drinks and canapes, champagne for the girls and local ale for the guys.
After drinks, the guests made their way down to the water where the tipis were set. Is there a more amazing place to have your wedding?! Afternoon tea, emotional speeches, drinks by Coniston Water rolling into live music by The Rips and a BBQed pulled pork supper. Sublime!
Amanda and Ben, you smashed it!
