Usually an annual event, unfortunately, I’ve never been very good at getting the images sorted so here we have a bi-annual round-up!

I had amazing couples, fabulous venues, some old favourites and some new. I photographed the last ever wedding at Hassop Hall, unfortunately, the hall was sold and is now a private residence. Hassop was always one of my favourite venues, it’s such a shame. We still have some fantastic local venues though, Chatsworth, where more than a few of my weddings take place. The Maynard, although this nearly went the same way as Hassop Hall. Initially, the rumours were that it was to be a private residence but it is now booking weddings again.

A new venue for me was Worksop College, a private school. Jamie and Andy are both teachers there so were allowed to use the facilities, including getting married in grand St Cuthbert’s Chapel. The wedding took place in the Christmas holidays so the students were away for the holidays.

Another new venue was Mythe Barn for Leanne and Matt’s wedding, a beautiful wedding venue near Atherstone in Warwickshire. I was really impressed with the venue, beautiful buildings and grounds.

I had my first wedding for quite a while at Whirlowbrook Hall, Emily and Ifor booked me for the wedding there. They had a great day, despite the weather, it pretty much rained all day! We still managed to get outside for some relaxed in portraits in the beautiful gardens, only needing the umbrella for the last few minutes.

The most dramatic wedding was Samantha and Richard’s wedding. You don’t expect snow to be so disruptive at the beginning of March, but the Beast From The East hit just before their wedding! During the week leading up to the wedding, Chatsworth was completely cut off. Luckily the staff cleared the roads just for the wedding. On the day it was cold the only photographs outside were taken between Edensor and Chatsworth, we stopped for just a few minutes to grab a few shots. It was a beautiful day, the weather just becomes a unique feature of the wedding.

All in all some wonderful images. I usually try to limit myself to 100, but as it’s a two year post I struggled so here you have 190ish!
